NYC Sends Hundreds More Police to the Subways

Original Article

The crime problem in New York City's subways has become legendary over the past few years, fueled in part by the invasion of illegal migrants flooding the city. The Governor and the Mayor have already sent in the National Guard and the State Police in an attempt to combat the problem. Now the Metropolitan Transit Department and the NYPD have announced that an additional 800 uniformed police officers will be heading into the tunnels. But their focus won't initially be on the knife-wielding muggers or the maniacs shoving people onto the tracks. They will be dispatched to the subway platforms to watch out for turnstile jumpers

Comments:

I knew the NY Guard would be ineffective at civilian policing, as it's not their in their wheelhouse, and there aren't enough. M16s in the subway? Right!
They were Hochul's 'eyewash' to show she was doing the often called for, 'Something! It's too late to turn things around.

'Stupid is as stupid does' (the words Eric Ross wrote for Tom Hanks to read) I've read the same 2900 or so criminals are responsible for the overwhelming majority of crime in NYC. How about lockin em up, and rehabilitating them by having them break rocks.

if Hamas turns up in the subways for their next atrocity I think it will be in NYPD uniforms. Not sure what to do about it. Maybe get in the habit of saying hello to every single one? if they cannot pull off a friendly hello then ask yourself. Maybe try: Victory to Israel! and see what they do?

In other woids, turnstile revenue is down. Although I can make a case that most subway criminals probably didn't pay their way in.

Given the police shortage, there are going to be quite a few neighborhoods without police protection. Dial 911 and leave a message at the tone.

At least eight states are planning to ban the sale of new gas-powered cars in the next decade - and others are considering joining them. Only zero-emission vehicles can be sold in participating states beginning from the 2035 model year, according to the Advanced Clean Cars II legislation. The rule, which was first adopted by California, means that automakers and dealerships would be banned from selling new gas cars in these states from that point onwards. Americans will not be forced to take their gas-powered cars off the road, however, and will still be able to buy used and secondhand gas vehicles. These states have gone further

The Florida Police Benevolent Association (PBA), the state’s largest police union — which boasts roughly 30,000 members — formally endorsed Trump for president following his primary victory in the Sunshine State. Association president John Kazanjian wrote in a letter of support that former President Trump proudly stood with law enforcement during the “defund the police” movement, praising his devotion to a “Law and Order” agenda. “It’s no secret that over the past four years, under the current administration, America has regressed,” he wrote, noting that “law enforcement officers are leaving their jobs in record numbers throughout this country

San Diego County is one of the largest segments of California's homeless population, with more than 10,000. Locals in Pacific Beach say that the vagrants have moved from the city's downtown to their neighborhood and are openly defying laws banning them from camping out in their vehicles. The homeless are accused of not just camping out but bringing in drugs and leaving their garbage on the streets, ironically right next to signs that tell them they're not allowed to park there. Debbie Turnbull, who lives in the area, claims that it's a problem of the city trying to take the homeless out of the downtown area.
