The sentence is 25 years. Let's hope this financial criminal serves every minute of the sentence.

SBF committed fraud by pledging his client's Bitcoin for personal loans, but every bank does the same thing. What brought him down was the falling value of Bitcoin, which triggered a run on his fund by his clients. They would be incredibly wealthy today if they had not panicked and demanded their coins back.

FTA: Judge Lewis Kaplan, just before announcing Bankman-Fried's 25-year sentence, said there was a risk "that this man will be in a position to do something very bad in the future, and it's not a trivial risk." Bankman-Fried acknowledged his mistakes and said he was sorry for what happened to customers but "never a word of remorse for the commission of terrible crimes," Judge Kaplan said. "He knew it was wrong," he added. SBF wanted to be an ever bigger Democrat donor than Soros. He wanted to be an eleemosynary superman for the Left. Would he do it again? (Yes. He's quite sorry he got caught, but he thought he was doing the right thing.)

It really does not matter what sentence the guy receives today as he is a big time Democrat contributor and supporter. So chances are after the November election that win or loose, that Biden will grant the guy, and a lot of other Democrat convicts, a Presidential pardon.

The only sorrow he feels is that he got caught. He’s a sociopath. No concern for others and I think his parents are just like him. They have not expressed any remorse for the anguish their little darling caused.

Great. Now prosecute his parents who are just as guilty as their son who is soon to be jail house wife, Scammy Sammy. The mother alone should be tried for felony ugliness in a human. She's the one who funneled millions in campaign contributions to her fellow communist death democrats. How fitting that both of these parents are law professors at Stanford University teaching future lawyers about the law. Scary.

Let's hope #7 is not correct. Would corruptocrat FJB consider pardoning SBF? Offered a nice enough bribe, he probably would, especially if he loses in November. FJB's financial security since 1973 has been paid for by selling out to unfriendly nations that have been bribing him, triggering 176 Suspicious Activity Reports, which might be a world record. Only a major nest of financial criminals could or would have twenty shell corporations offering no goods or services on top of the record number of SARs. A major portion of the Biden family belongs in prison.

It's almost like left-wing media sock puppets are locked in a battle over who can make the most vile, inappropriate, and repulsive statements about all things conservative — and of course, about former President Donald Trump. Most of these "journalists" are a dime a dozen, except for race-hustler extraordinaire, MSNBC's Joy Reid and Trump-loathing "Morning Joe" co-host, Joe Scarborough. In my book, Scarborough took home the trophy on Friday. Scarborough once again trotted out a Trump-Hitler analogy, with a couple of new Nazi comparisons tossed in just for grins —

NEW YORK, March 28 - Sam Bankman-Fried, the former billionaire cryptocurrency wunderkind, is set to be sentenced on Thursday over his conviction for stealing $8 billion from customers of the now-bankrupt FTX exchange he founded. Bankman-Fried, 32, faces the prospect of decades behind bars after a jury found him guilty in November on seven fraud and conspiracy counts. His sentencing is due to start at 9:30 a.m. EDT (1330 GMT) before U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan in Manhattan. The hearing will mark the culmination of Bankman-Fried's downfall from an ultra-wealthy cryptocurrency entrepreneur and major political donor to U.S. authorities' biggest trophy to date in a crackdown on malfeasance in digital asset markets.

Ever since Russia invaded Ukraine, the Western intelligentsia has been busy portraying Vladimir Putin as a man who, unlike, say Lyin’ Joe Biden or Rachel Levine or your local drag queen, has transgressed all the bounds of decency. He’s an authoritarian. He’s an imperialist. He’s an autocrat. He’s a new Hitler. But while the media and numerous government officials have not hesitated to portray Putin as evil incarnate, one would be hard-pressed to find anyone claiming that he is stupid. Few people, if anyone, doubt that he is as shrewd as he is ruthless, as thoughtful as he is menacing. Putin himself, however, has just put a massive dent

What’s coming is as plain as day. Our nation can hardly be said to have a southern border at all anymore. Even if the border were magically to reappear tomorrow, millions of people are already in the country without anyone knowing who or what they are. One hundred sixty-nine people on the FBI’s terror watch list were caught at the border in 2023; nobody knows how many people on that watch list got across the nonexistent border without being caught. Four jihadis just murdered at least 137 people in Moscow. They held the same beliefs as the Hamas jihadis who murdered 1,200 people in Israel on Oct. 7.

Is the Black Sea Fleet no more? Recent attacks by drones and missiles have whittled it down to a shadow of its former self. Grant Shapps, the UK secretary of state for defense, said, "Putin's continued illegal occupation of Ukraine is exacting a massive cost on Russia's Black Sea Fleet which is now functionally inactive. Russia has sailed the Black Sea since 1783 but is now forced to constrain its fleet to port. And even there Putin's ships are sinking!" But does the fleet actually matter anymore to Russia's overall mission against Ukraine and any potential war versus NATO? Some analysts have argued that Russia has

The Supreme Court is expected to hear arguments into Trump's immunity claims on April 25. The DOJ last year charged the former president with attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election results, culminating in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot, as well as alleged efforts to

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), which is responsible for handling the country's spy apparatus, seeks to ban a range of common terms because it says they offend Muslims and foment racism against employees. In addition to terms describing Islamic terrorists, ODNI instructs employees to avoid phrases such as "blacklisted," "cakewalk," "brown bag," "grandfathered," and "sanity check."

A loan that goes to the liar doesn’t go to someone who’s giving a more honest evaluation. So the system becomes incentivized for corruption,” Stewart said. Verdict: False. The amount of money available for loans from banks is not diminished when banks make loans to other customers, except in the rare case of a distressed bank that is capital-constrained. A loan to one customer does not subtract from a fixed pool of loans

The reconstruction efforts, however, may be complicated by demands that the project further leftwing ideas about racial justice, the treatment of immigrants, climate change, and wealth redistribution.
