Texas can Secure the Southern Border with
a Military-Grade Solution

Original Article

President Biden’s and former President Trump’s recent visits to the Texas border left no doubt that the Biden administration’s open border policy has led to an invasion crisis. An estimated 7.2 million illegals have entered the U.S. under his presidency, an amount equal to the population of 36 states. While Biden continues to call for “border security,” Congress has gotten nowhere in the failed attempt to pass a law that would resume the Trump administration’s efforts to build a wall. Similarly, the Biden administration’s repeated promises to secure the border ring hollow despite being touted in the mainstream media echo chamber.

Comments:

Watch the video. This stuff is way tougher than it looks at first glance and it looks really fast to put up. No foundation, just fill with dirt and good to go...or stop, actually. Seems like a great temp barrier until The Wall can be put up.

I can use the ballast portion for raised plant beds and vines can grow on the mesh. My present fence (chain-link) has a big bend in it where a pick-up truck slid into after an ice storm. Since my house is pretty close to the road (the city widened it), I hate to think what would happen if a vehicle under speed hit my fence. I've always liked Hesco walls; these are prettier.

Pretty impressive to stop that big truck from 53 mph with minimal damage to the wall, and no penetration.

Hertz CEO Out As Firm Seeks Traction After
Big EV Bet Goes Bust

CEO Stephen Scherr's barely two-year ride with Hertz came to a screeching halt on Friday. In his wake, he leaves a company still working to recover from a big bet on electric vehicles gone bad. It will do so under new CEO Gil West, whose previous posts include executive roles at Delta Air Lines and the Cruise unit of General Motors. Scherr, who came on board in February 2022 after 30 years at Goldman Sachs, ushered the company through its emergence from bankruptcy. Hertz's EV push began in the previous year, with a splashy move to order 100,000 Tesla Model 3 vehicles.

An EV will likely not exceed five digits on the odometer because the cost to replace the battery in the typical 10-year span of a battery life will exceed the vehicle’s resale value, therefore making it economically impractical. Other authors have all cited valid facts about the impracticality of charging these things on long trips, the stress they will add to a fragile electric grid, the lack of enthusiasm in this country for adding additional reliable energy power plants, etc. None of this has made me want to rush right out and buy an EV, but just for the sake of developing a more complete picture,

In perhaps the most scathing condemnation yet of the young “activists” known for their pseudo-concerns for the environment, a new poll revealed that around half of them are unwilling to put their money, even a measly ten bucks (or less), where their mouth is. Here are the details, from an exclusive report at Daily Mail: Nearly half of all young voters are not willing to pay more than $10 a month to fight climate change, despite Joe Biden claiming it’s an ‘existential threat’ and making it the center of his re-election campaign.

The largest, most devastating dam removal experiment in modern history has reached the point of no return. As of January 23, 2024—despite opposition by a majority of local residents—the four hydroelectric dams on the Klamath River have been officially breached. Ironically, dam removal proponents claimed the project would help salmon, but now the Klamath River is being polluted with millions of cubic yards of decomposed algae, organic deposition, chemicals, and fine silt that has built up behind the dams. Dead steelhead trout and other species are floating to the banks. Any salmon spawning beds in the Klamath River were undoubtedly destroyed.

President Trump’s sons Donald Trump, Jr. and Eric Trump were fined just over $4 million each. Greenies’ delusions of intelligence and enlightenment have some very serious real-world consequences, and the environmental fallout of a California dam removal project is a prime example. Here’s the story, shared by Katy Grimes at the California Globe today: Klamath Dam Removal: ‘It’s an Environmental Disaster’ The removal of dams along the Klamath River in Siskiyou County, Northern California was sold as necessary to save salmon – specifically, ‘to restore habitat for endangered fish.’ As Grimes reports, the official plans to demolish the dams were submitted in 2018, but ran into a series of roadblocks over the years; fast-forward to the beginning of last month.

For almost a century, there has been one constant in American politics: Jews vote for Democrats. There are multiple reasons for this fact but, regardless of the reason, the one thing Democrats could rely on was the Jewish vote. However, the Biden administration’s increasingly open hostility to Israel may be changing that pattern. One poll out of New York shows something remarkable: More than 50% of New York’s Jews plan to vote for Donald Trump! When Eastern European Jews came to America, they were escaping tsarist oppression. For them, the opposite of tsarism was Marxism. This binary viewpoint wasn’t unique to them. In pre-WWII England

The recent judgement for fraud against Donald Trump in a New York City Court, in a dollar amount higher than the GNP of some countries despite no one being defrauded, has revealed something many Americans didn’t know: New York State is driving out its most productive, tax-producing citizens and businesses. What happens to a state that, for leftist political reasons, purposely destroys its tax base? What happens to that self-defunding state when its federal Democrat/socialist/communist (D/s/c/) allies open the borders and send tens, even hundreds, of thousands of illegal immigrants to take advantage of the state’s self-imposed sanctuary? New York is finding out, and isn’t much liking it.

A new capital would signify a new beginning for the nation. Everyone who has seen the play Hamilton knows that the nation’s capital was moved to the present site in the District of Columbia due to a dinner-table bargain in 1790 between Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson. Hamilton needed Jefferson’s support in Congress to win approval for federal assumption of revolutionary war debts; in return, Jefferson wanted Hamilton’s support in moving the capital from New York City to a location nearer to the population and geographical center of the country, later carved out between the states of Maryland and Virginia.

"Outlaw your car" sounds like such an outrageous phrase, and technically speaking, it isn't true — but only barely. What practical difference is there between outlawing something, and regulating it out of existence? That's exactly what the EPA intends to do this week with strict new rules going forward against gas- and diesel-powered cars and light trucks. Expected as soon as Wednesday, the Biden EPA "is poised to finalize emissions rules that will effectively require a certain percentage — as much as two-thirds by 2032 — of new cars to be all-electric," according to Inside EVs. Politico sells the expected rule as one that would "tackle the nation’s biggest source

The Justices of the Supreme Court make their living with words. They read them, they write them, they speak them, they listen to them, and they rule with them. We currently have a Justice who uses words very poorly. At her confirmation hearing before the Senate, Justice Jackson was asked to give a definition of “woman.” That’s a legitimate question, since many legal matters depend on whether a given person is a woman or a man. Her answer was: “I can’t. Not in this context. I’m not a biologist.”
