Journalists in the White House press corps covering President Joe Biden’s administration habitually steal insignia items from Air Force One, four people told West Wing Playbook.
The looting reportedly grew to such a degree under Biden’s tenure that the president of the White House Correspondents’ Association, NBC correspondent Kelly O’Donnell, issued a “terse reminder” that stealing from Air Force One is not allowed, several individuals who saw the off-the-record email confirmed to Playbook.None of the members of the press corps reportedly responded to O’Donnell’s email.
Items allegedly stolen include:

I had zero respect for these “journalists” before this story. Now, I’m in the negative.
If they play loose and free with AF1 property, what else are they playing loose and free with regarding facts?
Pigs.

Joey Baby, it's called journalistic reparations. Just like you, the so-called "journalists" DGAS about legalities. Irony.

There's a simple solution - serve the press corps on dixie paper plates with plastic glasses and utensils - no logos or anything else. Blankets and pillowcases should be plain as well - no logos. It would probably save money and fuel - plastic and paper weigh less than china and metal.

It's just a little thievery by those who don't think it matters. Just like reporting little lies, right?

I have "stuff"... coffee cups, ashtrays, several zippo lighters, matchbooks, various kinds of candy, peanuts, pretzels...from the white house, the VP Residence, Camp David, AF1...none of it "Stolen" It was all offered, and gladly accepted. And dozens of "Event Passes/ID Badges/special Lapel pins".
But my Job was partly as a Press Wrangler...THEY are animals, Liars and thieves.
What is "Interesting" is that many of those media folks with "Souvenirs" could(and likely should) be charged with the very same "Felonies" that they are daily bashing Trump about, under the wording of the garbage interpretation of the LAWS they are skewering Trump over, removing/taking/withholding/damaging/possessing ANYTHING from a Govt office/archive/installation...Key difference, Trump had rights to it all...None of them do.

and we "trust" these people with disseminating news that is crucial to our life?,
they're no better than the looters who are stealing and putting in fear the employees and owners or the many stores that have been looted and ransacked in the past 3 years
this is the height of degeneracy when so-called respected people act as though they are or were brought up to have no respect for anyone but this is just a sign of the level of degeneracy the demcommies have reached in their quest to destroy and annihilate our President and any MAGA follower

Since my tax dollars pay for most of the Air Force One flights, stop stealing from me! This is a warning to the American Association of Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves. I say, make them pay their own way, and build theft repayment into the ticket price.

No wonder they are all Democrats. Regard public property as their own. Didn't Hillary do the same thing before leaving the White House?

This is how Trump would handle it.
Do an inventory before and after each flight.
ALL reporters on board will be banned from future flights, until the guilty confess. It won't happen twice.

Why is this a story? This has been going on for decades. Reporters were taking items off AF1 when Nixon was president. These items are souvenirs from flying on AF1. Not every reporter gets to fly AF1, and when your allowed to do so, it's a big deal.

It's easily stopped. Stop making special plates and other things for AF1 .
Everything on the plane has the Presidents seal or a White House symbol on it.
Right down to the candy wrappers and peanuts.
Stop spending all that money on White House monogrammed items and just us regular plates and cand bars and napkins.

Revoke their press passes. Call their employers and tell the employers that these people are not allowed in the White Hose or on the plane anymore; send different reporters. If the thievery continues, pull the next bunch of press passes, and so one until the stealing stops.

Everything on AF-1 is US Government property. Stealing US Government property is either a felony or a misdemeanor crime depending on the item’s value. To end that apparently routine situation the Air Force or the White House should establish a restricted website open to people riding on AF-1 where they could purchase pieces of the US Government property that is now being stolen. At least then either the Air Force or the White House could make a profit when the items are purchased, rather than a loss every time an item is stolen.

I have a wine glass from Algore's AF2. I bought it at a junk store for a quarter. I was told by an AF guy that guarded AF1 that the crew would sometimes give away souvenirs from the plane when the President and VIPs were gone and things quieted down.
