Fire Department brass ordered an East Village ladder company to remove its “red line” American flag honoring the squad’s six brothers killed on 9/11 – after a neighborhood resident complained it was “fascist” and a local lefty pol questioned whether it was a “politically charged symbol.” The shocking order came March 22 after a man claiming he was a staffer for Democratic Manhattan Councilwoman Carlina Rivera confronted firefighters at Ladder Co. 11, sources said.

The whiner had every right to complain. It's the American way. Too bad the Councilwoman and the rest of the powers that be are Cowards. What should have happened is that this sorry clown who complained should have been told that the flag was going to stay. But like a lot of Councils, Mayors, Politicians, they lacked the patriotism and the courage to make the correct decision. If it had been a Rainbow flag and they had gotten one complaint the flag would still be there.

“How many more police officers and how many families need to make the ultimate sacrifice before we start protecting them?” Stephanie Diller’s plaintive question at Saturday’s funeral for her husband, Det. Jonathan Diller, somehow turned out to be news not fit to print for The New York Times. Nor the lines that preceded it: “It’s been two years and two months since Detective Rivera and Detective Mora made the ultimate sacrifice — just like my husband Jonathan Diller. Jonathan Diller’s death was nowhere to be found on the front page of the New York Times. James Keivom “Dominique Rivera stood before all the elected officials present today pleading for change. “That change never came.

T]he Turkish government aims to conquer the Greek islands in the Aegean Sea – either militarily or demographically. The goal is the same: the islands' capture. The Turkish media also falsely and repeatedly claims that "152 Greek islands and islets in the Aegean belong to Turkey". These islands, however, historically and legally, belong to Greece, mainly through the 1924 Treaty of Lausanne, 1932 Turkish-Italian Agreements and the 1947 Paris Treaty. Conquest is part of Islamic jihad (warfare in the service of Islam) which, according to Islamic scriptures, is a communal obligation.

For those of you who celebrate this sacred day, Happy Easter. For those who don’t, most Americans appreciate that it is the holiest day of the year for you and treat it with civilized respect. To the President who claims he is a Catholic in good standing, it’s just another day to poke his fingers in your eyes. Yes, the White House is hosting the traditional easter egg rolling event, but it has banned all religious symbols at the event, and in a proclamation dated, “in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-four” announced that this day, March 31, is “Transgender Day of Visibility.”

There are few more joyous places for a Christian at Easter than northern Europe's tallest and largest Gothic cathedral in the city of Cologne.[SNIP] Perhaps we should not be surprised. In Britain, Windsor Castle hosted its first Iftar last week, with permission from King Charles, the Supreme Governor of the Church of England. Guests feasted on coconut milk and dates in the grounds before a private tour of the State apartments. Westminster Abbey, meanwhile – a Christian site for over 1,000 years – flew the national flag of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, with the Muslim crescent and star, to mark 'Pakistan Day'.
